Australis takes you on an amazing journey to the “uttermost end of the earth” on modern expedition cruise ships that ply the untamed wonderland at the bottom end of South America. Patagonian nature is on full display as we navigate the legendary Strait of Magellan, Cape Horn and the remote islands of Tierra del Fuego on voyages that take you to places that only around a thousand people visit each year.
Given our decades of experience in the region, Australis has crafted itineraries that highlight the unique ecosystems of the region for those who want to explore the waterways and islands of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego.
Whether you have come to the Patagonian region to explore all of its wild attractions or you prefer to wine and dine on exceptional cuisine, you can find all that you are looking for on the Stella Australis. The cruise ship offers you a spacious cabin with plush bedding, storage options, and a lounge area.
The mythical Cape Horn, an almost vertical 425 meter high cliff, was discovered in 1616. For many years it was an important navigation route for sailboats sailing between the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans. Known as the end of the world, Cape Horn was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2005.
The entire experience was fantastic. The staff were very accommodating at all times and very knowledgeable on the shore excursions with their local knowledge of the area. The meals were superb with plenty of variety catering to all tastes.
